Industrial Bronze Supply For Australian Businesses

Engineering Bronze for Wear, Load & Performance

Bronze is a copper based alloy used in engineering applications where strength, wear resistance and reliability are critical. It is commonly used for bushes, bearings, gears and sliding components.

Material selection is typically based on application requirements such as load, speed, lubrication and operating environment. A range of bronze grades are available in similar forms and sizes, allowing the correct alloy to be selected for each application.

Stock is held locally in round and hollow bar, with additional grades and sizes sourced as required.

  • Suitable for load bearing and wear applications

LG2 (C83600)

General purpose bronze with excellent machinability, medium strength and good corrosion resistance. Suitable for light load bearings, pump and valve components, and marine environments.

SAE 660 (C93200)

General purpose bearing bronze with good strength, hardness and wear resistance. Suitable for medium load and speed applications with adequate lubrication.

PB1 (Phosphor Bronze C90700)

Higher strength bronze with good wear resistance and corrosion resistance. Suitable for medium to high load bearings, gears and applications subject to impact loading.

AB2 (Nickel Aluminium Bronze C95810)

High strength bronze with excellent corrosion and erosion resistance. Commonly used in marine applications and heavy-duty gears with high loads.

C95400 (Aluminium Bronze)

Very hard and abrasion resistant with excellent strength and wear resistance. Suitable for high strength bearings and applications requiring impact resistance and durability. General corrosion resistance is good but under some circumstances may suffer dealuminification.

C86300 (Manganese Bronze)

High strength alloy with excellent wear resistance and good ductility. Suitable for heavy-duty, slow speed bearings and hydraulic components.
