The Challenge

Before production, the material requirements were confirmed to ensure the required grade could be manufactured correctly.

Rather than asking the customer to redesign around available stock, the sourcing process was built around the material specification the project actually required.
The Outcome
By sourcing the exact continuous cast iron grade required, the customer was able to manufacture the component to its original specification.
This removed the need to redesign the component around an alternative material or compromise on the customer’s specified requirements.
